Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has called on his German counterpart Frank Walter Steinmeier, the incumbent OSCE chairperson – in- office, to ensure the OSCE control over the observation of the ceasefire regime by the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
“Lavrov urged Steinmeier, the incumbent OSCE chairperson-in-office, to use the forces of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine to ensure control over the observation of the ceasefire regime by the LPR and the DPR and expressed the hope that Kiev would follow the examples of Donetsk and Lugansk,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Steinmeier promised to issue relevant instructions to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine.
