In the Serbian capital near the city administration building, participants of the rally “Won’t give Belgrade” attacked the mayor Siniša Mali.
According to reports, when the crowd managed to get close to mayor his security service intervened and prevented the physical contact, after which one of the demonstrators threw an “unknown object” at the official.
Activists themselves say they have come only to give the mayor a statement about his resignation.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic condemned the coup in Turkey, at the same time saying that he sees the similarity of the situation in this country with the events in Belgrade on October 5, 2000.
“It didn’t bring anything to the Serbian people, it won’t bring anything to Turkish people. I am sure that this coup has a lot of interference from side”, said Dacic.
During the bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, former Mayor of London, and now head of the Foreign Ministry of Great Britain, Conservative Boris Johnson was against this operation and during the attacks was in Serbia.
