Condolences from the Head of the People’s Republic of Donetsk, Alexander Zakharchenko, about the untimely death of the Russian ambassador to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin.
‘The premature withdrawal from the life of this outstanding diplomat, Vitaly Churkin, is a great loss not only for Russia but also for Donbass. Donbass will never forget the candor, conviction and courage with which Vitaly Churkin was telling the world the truth about our struggle for freedom, dignity and honor. He embodies all these qualities himself. On behalf of all the people of the Donetsk People’s Republic, I express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Vitaly Churkin, his colleagues, and the leadership of Russia.
