A universal identity card will replace the passport with trident to the citizens of the DPR

The authorities of the DPR decided to introduce the universal plastic cards, combining the functions of an identity certificate and a bank card. Head of the DPR Aleksandr Zakharchenko informed the journalists about it at the press-conference yesterday. According to the head of the republic the introduction of the printed passports is not instrumental due to the unrecognized status of the DPR, that is why the government decided to introduce a universal certificate that will include the personal data and at the same time perform as a means of payment. On one side of the card the passport data of a person will be featured, and on the reverse side – the bank data. “We are introducing social cards. First name, last name, patronimic name. The code. And this very card will serve as a payment instrument. Salaries and pensions will be accrued to it as well”, — Zakharchenko said.
