Sean Davis wrote on his page in Facebook:
On the 22nd of March 2015 myself as well a group of other Australians concerned over the Sanctions their Government has placed on Russia, gathered in the center of Sydney near by the famous Sydney Opera House, in order to let Tony Abbott and his Government know that the Australian people do not in any way support the sanctions against Russia as they are an Act of War and could lead to a much more serious conflict between the two nations.
The group stressed that Sanctions were always used by Governments as a precursor to war, and never had successfully been used to avert it.
We warned the Australian people and government that Australian businesses will begin to suffer as a result as sanctions always hurt the PEOPLE of all nations involved.
We all urge the Australian government to exercise some independence for once and to stop following the foreign policy of the Unites States which has only ever lead to the deaths of Australian citizens throughout history.
This is our first warning to the government, each member of the Senate, House of Representatives and the Executive Branch, that if you do not speak up against these sanctions, your silence is an endorsement of them and there for anything that follows as a result.
