As it was reported by Rosbalt, the delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Serbia and the major part of Austrians, members from Switzerland, the Netherlands and Croatia and Turkey were against the decision of PACE concerning deprivation of voting right for Russia in the Assembly.
Moreover, several delegations from Germany, Bulgaria, Spain, and Finland were also against the resolution. These dates were presented on the site of the Assembly.
Be reminded that Parliamentary Assembly of European Council adopted resolution concerning Russia, having imposed sanctions in a shape of deprivation of voting right in PACE.
160 MP voted pro adoption of the document, and 42 voted contra. The Assembly decided to turn back to the renegotiation of this question in April.
PACE adopted also the amendment to resolution, with a help of which it called Russian authorities to release Nadezhda Savchenko in 24 hours, and sent her to Ukraine. Despite this stipulation were several more, they demanded from Russia to return to Ukraine “annexed” Crimea and to fulfill Minsk agreements, and provided withdrawal of troops from Georgia and Moldavia. This formula was supported by 2/3 votes of the Bureau of PACE.
Russia, in its turn did not exclude the revision of the question concerning participation of the country in the Council of Europe.
