Javier Benitez arrived from Spain year ago when military actions in Donbass just started and he passed his final exams in Medical University. Javier followed the situation in Donbass all the time and he could not be indifferent having seen how the USA, NATO and EU shelled peaceful population, militiamen and they tried to wipe off the map regions with civilians and he took decision to depart to Donbass.
Javier came to the edition of Novorossia Today on 30th July to talk about his mission in Donbass.
-Javier, when did you arrive to Donbass and what did you see?
-I arrived to Alchevsk in February; my acquaintance had been already there. We arranged together with him dinners for people, worked as volunteers, we fed dozens of people every day. Then I got Komissarovka. It is remote settlement that did not get humanitarian aid, and people needed medicines. When I just got Komissarovka, there were 2 experienced doctors, they thought me, and they left the hospital suddenly. Such serious responsibly to treat 200 patients became mine. It was very difficult to see suffering of people who had chronic illnesses. For instance, there were not enough medicines for patients with epilepsy. I tried a lot to get 2 packages of medicines, then I went to Donetsk and worked at the frontline in the airport, I provided the first medical aid for militiamen. And now I’m in the military hospital of Donetsk and I’m trying to improve my skills and knowledge with a help of modern equipment here.
-Javier, compare please the situation in Donetsk and Komissarovka.
-Of course, the situation in Donetsk is better than in many settlements of Novorossia, loads arrive exactly to the city, such critic situation like in Komissarovka is in many settlements.
-Tell us place, do you know who sends humanitarian aid to Donbass? And do authorities of your country send humanitarian aid to Donbass?
-Mainly, from Russia. And my country sent only military equipment and ammunition, like all western countries.
-Which plans do you have for the nearest future?
-I’ve already missed my home; however, I’ll be here to try to save lives.

Dr. Javier Benitez is a true inheritor of the moral and ethical principles of the Second Republic of Spain that Franco crushed
with the help of Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy and the Western European appeasers. We can only admire his civil courage and
solidarity on behalf of the people in the Donbass. I have sent modest sums to the account of the Saint George Order in
Sweden which collects funds for humanitarian aid to the victims of Kiev’s and EU,USA &NATO’s aggression. I encourage
everyone to contribute to the humanitarian aid being provided to the victims in the Donbass.
