The Donetsk People’s Republic is preparing a report on Kiev’s failure to ensure medical therapy for children, in breach of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, an advisor on children’s rights to the DPR head has said.
“We are preparing a big report on the violation of the UN convention jointly with the DPR health ministry. In particular, this concerns Kiev’s violation of children’s rights to receive medical care and treatment,” Yana Chepikova said in an interview with the Donetsk news agency on Wednesday.
Ukraine has blocked the supplies of medicines for newborn babies since June 16, she said.
The respective report is due to be unveiled soon, Chepikova said, adding that its details are kept in secret.
The advisor expressed hope that the document would help solve all the issues linked to the violation of the children’s rights to live a free life without shellings and also to get education and treatment.
