Fighting between the Armed Forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Ukrainian forces occurred last night in the area of Maryinka, told Head of the DPR Aleksandr Zakharchenko the journalists.
“Last night fighting was underway in the area of Maryinka”, — Head of the Republic said.
“Yesterday shelling from heavy mortar-guns started, then, at dusk, in the course of two hours the enemy carried out artillery fire, attempting to enter Trudovskiye (a settlement in composition of Petrovskiy district of Donetsk — DNA); the attack was rebuffed by 5 AM approximately; the enemy was forced to retreat”, — Zakharchenko specified.
Answering the relevant question of the journalists he stressed that the OSCE mission was informed about the overnight assault in the area of Maryinka as well as about other instances of the ceasefire regime violation by Ukrainian forces.
