A plane of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations has airlifted to Moscow 15 severely ill children from Donbass, the ministry press service told Tass on Friday.
The plane that took off from Rostov-on-Don, a city in the Rostov region bordering on Ukraine, landed at Ramenskoye airfield outside Moscow at 18:55 Moscow time, with 15 seriously ill children from the Donetsk and Lugansk republics on board.
The children have different diagnoses, but they all need highly-qualified and high-tech medical aid, which they cannot receive in full in troubled Donbass.
The children’s condition did not worsen during the flight on which they were accompanied by emergency ministry’s medics and a psychologist.
The plane is has all necessary equipment on board to administer medical aid in mid-air.
