The European Union has decided to suspend sanctions against Belarus for four months, a European source close to the EU Council said on Thursday.
“The official decision on suspending sanctions has been adopted. It will come into force on October 31,” the diplomat said.
The restrictive measures will be suspended against 170 citizens of Belarus, including President Alexander Lukashenko, and also three Belarusian organizations.
