Trucks of the Emergencies Ministry of RF brought to Donetsk and Lugansk regular humanitarian aid.
It is 51st humanitaria load from Russia.
“More than 100 vehicles arrived in Donetsk and Lugansk. They brought more than 1,200 tons of humanitarian cargo, including foodstuffs, daily necessities, medications, firefighting equipment, books and educational materials,” the press service said, adding that there were no unforeseen situations on their way to Donetsk and Lugansk.
Currently the vehicles are unloaded in the presence of representatives of the local authorities who will later distribute humanitarian aid, including in the socially significant facilities of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
After the unloading is completed, all vehicles will return to Russia’s Rostov region.
This is the 51st humanitarian aid convoy since August 2014. The Russian Emergencies Ministry earlier delivered to Donetsk and Lugansk more than 60,000 tons of humanitarian cargo, including foodstuffs, construction materials, medications and staple goods. Humanitarian cargo is collected by public organizations and trade unions, the administrations of the Russian regions, educational institutions and political associations on the basis of applications made by local authorities.
