The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has called some media reports about his alleged “secret visit” to Lugansk “fake news”.
“This is a new hoax, don’t pay attention to this,” he told journalists, commenting on the circulating rumors.
“I’m just calling directly from Lugansk,” the Kremlin spokesman said ironically, adding that this was a joke.
“Let the Ukrainian Security Council work and let it check. As for [Russian presidential aide Vladislav] Surkov, let them also check this,” Peskov said in response to a request to comment on the reports of Surkov’s alleged visit to Lugansk.
“Ukrainian taxpayers earn little and pay little to make the Ukrainian Security Council deal with serious matters,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
‘So, let the Ukrainian Security Council deal with this,” he added.
Some media outlets reported earlier that Peskov had allegedly paid a “secret visit” to Lugansk.
