The Lugansk Taras Shevchenko National University (LNU) is set to open Italian, Finnish, Turkish, Israeli and German cultural centers, an LNU official told a news briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre on Monday. Thanks to our international partners and colleagues, the students will have an opportunity to study languages, history and culture of these countries,” LNU Rector Yelena Tregubenko said.
“Students, as the most dynamic and progressing part our society should know the world, learn to build relationship with other people and study foreign cultures. Because they will represent this culture in the future,” she added.
Earlier, LPR Federation of Trade Unions leader Oleg Akimov announced the opening of the German cultural center in Lugansk.
Israeli journalist Inna Levitan, an observer at the LPR primaries, said that the Israeli Cultural Center in the LPR capital would resume work.
Activist Jarmo Ekman of Finland announced the opening of the Finnish Cultural Centre under the aegis of the Lugansk University.
