In news being kept off America’s front pages for understandable reasons, a Hungarian neo-Nazi will be leaving the Trump administration after his background was “robustly vetted” during a security investigation that left many wondering how he got next to the President in the first place.
An adviser to President Donald Trump will be leaving the White House. A senior administration official says Sebastian Gorka, a former counterterrorism analyst for Fox News with phony credentials, who joined the Trump administration as a counterterrorism adviser, will be leaving the White House in the coming days.
The official says that Gorka had initially been hired to play a key role on the Strategic Initiatives Group, an advisory panel created by Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon to run parallel to the National Security Council. But objections from Trump’s son in law Jared Kushner made his position untenable. Kushner is Jewish and Gorka a member of Nazi organizations in Hungary.
But that group was never formed by the administration. Gorka was unable to get clearance for the National Security Council after he was charged last year with carrying a weapon at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Gorka’s history further showed disturbing ties to Hungarian Nazi organizations and his accademic credentials have been shown to be fraudulent.
