At least 26 civilians including children and women were killed in Saudi-led airstrikes in Yemen’s cities of Sanaa and Saada on Monday. 8 civilians were killed after the Arab military coalition struck the agricultural compound in the district of Bilad Al-Rous. And the other 18 were killed in airstrikes on Saada, it said.
The Saada airstrikes targeted houses of civilians killing 12 in the district of Bakim and 6 in the district of Sehar, it said, adding others were injured in the two cities. In recent days, the coalition has destroyed more than 15 houses in Saada, the birthplace of the Houthi militants, which has taken the heaviest and deadliest airstrikes since the Arab military intervention was launched in March, it said.
Dozens of civilians including children were lately killed and injured after airstrikes were intensified in several Yemeni cities.
International organizations accuse the warring parties in the country including the Saudi-led coalition of indiscriminate attacks that amount to war crimes.
Moreover, they are calling for investigating violations of the laws of war and urgent measures to address the humanitarian catastrophe deepened by the several-months conflict.
