Operational summary

A moderate clash took place in the area of Abakumovo facing Staromikhailovka and Krasnogorovka. Mostly light weapons had been used. In the area of Makeyevka artillery cannonade was heard, the sounds of fighting were heard. In northern and north-west parts of Gorlovka roaring of the enemy’s mortar-guns was heard. There were clashes there.

Fierce fighting is underway in Debaltstevo, in some sectors close combat engagement is taking place.

In the area of Staroignatovka fighting is going on, artillery blasts can be heard, the enemy suffers significant losses. On the whole, in spite of relative lull in fighting, the situation remains tense. Cross fire is regularly heard in the airport, but this has already become every day routine. In the area of Kramatorsk quiet is interrupted at times.

Review of the situation on the fronts

At 8 PM the Ukies began shelling Dokuchayevsk and the outskirts. In response the militia attacked their battery in Nikolayevka and a sabotage and reconnaissance group shelled the Ukie block-post near the road police check point nearby Volnovakha.

As to the 32^nd block-post: water was not delivered to them. The water-carriers, in spite of the achieved agreement, drove military and not civil trucks. In addition, several APCs accompanied them. The Cossacks had to annihilate them> and the Ukies encircled at the block-post had to collect morning dew and drink it. Two military trucks had been taken trophies. One of them full of the wounded Ukies and their dead bodies was sent back. The Cossacks asked us to tell the enemies that they are expecting another party of idiots.
