Members of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine registered the movement of three 120-mm howitzers near the disengagement line in the Kiev-controlled territory of Donbass, claims the Mission’s recent report.
“In government [of Ukraine – DNA] controlled village of Novoselovka Vtoraya in 36 km distance to the north-north-east of Mariupol the SMM workers observed three moving northwards military trucks with 120-mm howitzers in tow”, — the document claims.
The OSCE observers also registered the widening and reinforcement of the trenches network in UAF positions to the north-west of Donetsk and presence of significant Ukrainian forces in the area. Besides, to the north of the city in Kiev-controlled territory they observed the movement of tanks – one Т-64 and three Т-72.
According to the Set of Measures for Implementation of the Minsk Agreement, which was signed by the Contact Group on February 12, artillery of the 100-mm and bigger caliber should have been withdrawn to the distance of 50 km from each other, MRLS — to 70 km, RSML “Tornado”, “Uragan”, “Smerch”, as well as “Tochka” missiles — to the distance of 140 km. The sides should have withdrawn their equipment to the equal distances, at that Kiev — from the current disengagement line, and the DPR and LPR — from the line regularized by the Minsk memorandum of September 19. The withdrawal should have been completed in the first half of March.
