New ambassador of Poland in Russia Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz said that Warsaw made a decision in regard to suspending of the project of the 100-km-long section of the Polish-Ukrainian border, through which the citizens of Ukraine would carry out non-visa entrance to Poland. Besiides, the Polish ambassador claimed that Poland prolonged the agreement with Russia in regard to non-visa regime on the border with the Kaliningrad region. The dwellers of border areas of Russia and Poland will be able to further cross the border within the framework of cross-border schedule. “We consider the non-visa regime very efficient and bringing positive results to both Russian and Polish sides. We can see no threats and the problems, which could have occurred in the security sphere, are minimal or altogether non-existent. Thus, it is a good move”, — said she. Talking about the incident of the expulsion of Polish diplomats from Russia, the ambassador stated that she did not view it as a serious one. According to her, “such incidents often occur in different countries, and no one should see it as a scoop”. Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz also said that Warsaw decided to abstain from accepting Ukrainian refugees to its territory. Pełczyńska-Nałęcz does not see the need in resettlement of Ukrainian citizens to Poland as the situation in the Western and Central regions of Ukraine is quite calm.
