Ukrainian President Petr Poroshenko said on Sunday international community will help revive Donbass’ economy.
“The international coalition will help us finance restoration of infrastructure in Donbass. It will not be a burden for Ukrainian taxpayers,” he said in an interview with Ukrainian television channels.
Earlier, Ukraine’s leaders said restoration in Donbass would begin after local elections there under Ukrainian laws. It is planned to establish a special fund for those purposes. According to preliminary estimates of the Ukrainian government, at least two billion U.S. dollars will be needed to restore Donbass’ infrastructure.

But the catch is, this will mean the ‘international community’ (US and EU) will control Donbass. I have said since the start of the ATO that the US does not care if Donbass was blown up because they wanted to send contractors to build it up for a profit. This will mean that Donbass has gone back under Ukraine control and will never be Russian again. Is it worth that?
