Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, stated at an international economics forum in St. Petersburg that Russia has become ‘the West’s scapegoat’ for any international problem, even when there is little, if any, evidence to link the Kremlin to any of the alledged events.
Putin made his remarks after the Chancellor of Austria, Christian Kern, advocated for new measures, beyond sanctions, to be employed against Russia; so as to force Putin to resolve the stalemate in Ukraine.
“They put themselves in this situation, like chestnuts into the fire”, Putin stated. The West cannot blame Russia for every one of their problems.
