Red Cross humanitarian convoy subjected to fire on the part of Ukrainian military in Donbass

Donetsk, June 26, the Donetsk News Agency

The Red Cross humanitarian convoy was subjected to fire of the part of Ukrainian military, Executive Commander of Corps of the MoD DPR Eduard Basurin claimed.

“When the convoy, having already unloaded the cargo, was moving in the area of  locality Berezovoye, Ukrainian troopers from the block-post in 4-km distance from the convoy’s route, opened sporadic machine-gun fire”, — Executive Commander of Corps said.

“Their goal was to blame the DPR Army and obtain public resonance, — Basurin stressed. — I claim that it is the next provocation on the part of Ukrainian Armed Forces and media under Kiev control”.

Earlier, on June 25 Ukrainian media referring to the Security Service of Ukraine reported that the Red Cross convoy was allegedly fired on by the DPR Army troopers.
