Foreign guests are expected including around 60 bikers from Poland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, France, the Czech Republic and Italy, a member of Russia’s Night Wolves bike club says.
More than 200 motorbike riders from Russia and Europe will assemble in the south Russian city of Rostov on August 10 ready for the final stage of a marathon Roads of Victory rally, organizers said on Friday.
This celebration of 70 years since World War II defeat of Nazi Germany has already taken the bikers through Minsk, Brest, Wroclaw, Brno, Bratislava, Vienna, Munich and Prague since it started on April 25 in Belarus — all bound for a May 8 rendezvous in Berlin.
For the last leg, the bikers will travel through the Caucasus, Volga, central, western and northern Russian regions, finishing at a gala concert in the Crimean city of Sevastopol on August 21.
“We are expecting foreign guests including around 60 bikers from Poland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, France, the Czech Republic and Italy,” said Andrey Bobrovsky, a member of Russia’s Night Wolves bike club.
