January, 7 — Holy Night of Christmas appeared to be no obstacle for severe shelling of Donetsk residential areas by Ukrainian nazis.
Number of injured is being counted, the wounded are being delivered to hospitals, resque services are busy with firefighting and explosive ordnance disposal in private housing units in Oktyabrskiy and Azotniy communities. The communities were struck by artillery from Ukrainian troops positions in Pesky — Tonenkoe.
After shelling several families from Oktyabrskiy community became homeless. It is extremely cold in Donetsk now — 20 grades below zero and sometimes even more.
Houses in Kremlevskaya street were hit by shelling, there are holes instead of windows and walls, gas and water pipes are seriously damaged. Roof of the neighbouring house is damaged, the next housing is completely destroyed by fire.
There are casualties. The locals report ambulances evacuating people. «Looks like the whole family died» — say witnesses.
Situation near airport of Donetsk has aggravated: constant artillery noise is heard as well as counterbattery fire. In Gornyak settlement of Kuybyshevsky district of Donetsk people are coming to shelters because of near cannonade and hitting threat.
In the ares of DOK and Avtokolonna flying mortar shells are heard, severe battle in north-western direction.
Signal bombs and enemy’s drones have been spotted over Solnechniy community.
As it was predicted and expected Ukrainian fascists have made bloodbath and hell exactly on orthodox Christmas.

I must say I’m very impressed by the clean and easy to navigate appearance of Novorossia Today. Very well done. I’m glad to see is is being updated more frequently now. Although not providing the “in depth” news of Voice of Sevastopol, Colonel Cassad, or The Vineyard of the Saker, it must be a major effort to put it out in so many languages. The English version is excellent.
May the New Year see Novorossia and indeed all the people in Ukraine who are resisting the Nazi coup survive and prosper.
For a handful of militia volunteers to have formed a resistance capable of stopping the offensive of the Ukrainian army, National Guard, and Fascist militias in only a few months was a remarkable achievement. To have carried out a successful counter-offensive to Poroshenko’s “ATO” and driven them back was astounding, and will likely earn a footnote in some future “History of Warfare” book.
May you grow strong and free the rest of your country from the oligarchs, IMF, and the US and EU puppets who now control Kiev.

I agree with Terry on all but one point. I would compare Novorossiya Today very favorably against Vineyard of the Saker. The Saker posts little real news. He is an analyst, and his conclusions often seem far fetched to me. Novorossiya Today, on the other hand, published valuable and reliable factual information, the kind of writing I like best. I have my own website, and I often post links to articles in Novorossiya Today. Thanks for the great work. You have my full support.
