Ukrainian exit-poll results: seven forces enter the parliament

According to the data of the national exit-poll, Poroshenko’s Bloc, “Narodnyi front” (“People’s Front”), “Samopomich” Association, Opposition Bloc, Oleh Liashko’s Radical Party, All-Ukrainian Association “Svoboda” and bloc “Batkivshchyna” enter the Verkhovna Rada as a result of parliamentary elections of October 26. Such are the data made public by the authors of the research (the I.Kucheriv Fund of Democratic Initiatives, the Kiev International Institute of Sociology, and the Razumkov Kiev Center of Economic and Political Research) at a press-conference at 20:01 on October 26.

According to the sociologists’ data, Petro Poroshenko’s Bloc became the leader: 23% of the voters voted in its favour. The second place is occupied by “People’s Front” of Yatsenyuk and Turchinov (21,3% of votes). The trio of leaders is rounded out by “Samopomich” Association (Major of Lviv Sadovyi is the leader of this force). Besides, Opposition Bloc (7,6%), Oleh Liashko’s Radical Party (6,4%), All-Ukrainian Association “Svoboda” (6,3%), as well as “Batkivshchyna” party (5,6%) enter the Verkhovna Rada.
Thus, 225 parliamentary seats, elected by party list voting, are to be distributed in this way, according to the sociologists:  Petro Poroshenko’s Bloc will get 62 seats, “People’s Front” acquires 58 seats, “Samopomich” Association — 35 seats, Opposition Bloc — 21, Radical Party and All-Ukrainian Association “Svoboda” acquire 17 seats each, “Batkivshchyna” — 15 seats.

Other researchers also report the results. TV company TNS allots 23,6% to Poroshenko’s Bloc, 19,9% to “People’s Front”, 12,6% to “Samopomich”, 8,1% to Radical Party, 5,8% to Opposition Bloc,  7,4% to “Svoboda”, 5,6% to “Batkivshchyna”. According to the data of the international exit-poll, Poroshenko’s Bloc gets 23,1% of the votes, “People’s Front”  — 19,7%, “Samopomich”  — 11%, Opposition Bloc  — 9,9%, Radical Party  — 6,7%, “Svoboda”  — 5,8%, “Batkivshchyna”  — 5,7%.
