Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has called on G7 to support Ukraine in reaching a new trilateral gas agreement.
The Prime Minister said this at the meeting with the ambassadors of the G7 countries to Ukraine on Thursday, the Cabinet’s press office reports.
Yatsenyuk reminded that last year Ukraine and the G7 countries had managed to reach a trilateral agreement on gas supplies to Ukraine and gas transit to the EU.
According to the PM, support of the G7 in the current talks is needed “to ensure safe transit to the EU and gas supplies to Ukraine on the basis of the comprehensive EU-Ukraine-Russia agreement, which should include a trilateral protocol, as well as an annex to the effective contract between Naftogaz and Gazprom.
