A new armaments withdrawal agreement can be signed by the end of the week – Pushilin

The agreement on withdrawal of armaments up to 100 mm in caliber from the disengagement line in Donbass can be signed as early as by the end of this week, told the DNA correspondent the official representative of the Donetsk People’s Republic at the peace talks Denis Pushilin.

“We have prepared practically all the necessary documents, and only procedure matters are still being dealt with, — Pushilin claimed. — There is great probability of our signing the agreement by the end of this week”.

“It is extremely important for us to regularize the withdrawal of equipment up to 100 mm in caliber”, Pushilin stressed. — We will be able to register violations, in case they emerge. And the practice proves that violations in regard to heavy armaments, over 100 mm in caliber, violations do occur”.

As it was already reported, the document on withdrawal of heavy artillery is being worked out by the members of a contact subgroup in security issues, the date of meeting of which has not been specified yet. The withdrawal of armaments with caliber over 100 mm has been regularized by the Set of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreement, agreed upon by the Contact Group on February 12, nevertheless Kiev is regularly violating its obligations.
