Appeal of the Foreign Ministry of the DPR to the leaders of the Normandy Four in regard to the Minsk Agreement wrecking by Ukraine

In spite of signing of the Declaration of adherence to the Set of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreement by the members of the Normandy Four, systematic violations of the ceasefire regime on the part of Ukrainian Army occur in the course of the last three weeks. According to the confirmed data of the Ministry of Defense of the Donetsk People’s Republic only from May 25 till June 9 the ceasefire was violated more than 544 times; civilian casualties constituted 6 in dead and 59 in wounded. Moreover, more than 200 residential houses and infrastructure objects of Donetsk and other settlements of the Republic suffered damage. In each confirmed instance of shelling the character of destruction directly testifies to the use of heavy weaponry by the Ukrainian side – mortar-guns and heavy artillery. The facts prove that Ukrainian side did not only ignore the obligation to withdraw heavy armaments from the disengagement line, but has been actively amassing it military potential in the course of the last several months. The daily shelling of the Republican territory in combination with the increasing trade and economy blockade facilitate grave deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Donbass. Taking into account the fact that the Russian Federation as a member of the Normandy Four is a guarantor of the Set of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements fulfillment, the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic  appeals to you with the request to apply pressure using all possible means to the militarist Kiev regime in order to force it stop the provocations, which inevitably lead to the further escalation of the conflict and new victims among the population of Donbass.
