Ukrainian hostile forces might continue to shell the Donetsk People’s Republic territory during May holidays, DPR envoy to Minsk talks Denis Pushilin told reporters on Friday.
“The amount of armament and personnel Ukraine has deployed as well as the unceasing provocations can hardly contribute to ceasefire,” he said. “We can tell this considering last night shelling at Makeyevka and Donetsk . “
“Of course, these issues are raised and discussed in Minsk. It’s a big question whether relative ceasefire can be observed during May holidays,” he said.
The Contact Group participants at the meeting in Minsk on 29 March agreed a ceasefire in Donbass ahead of Easter holidays starting from 1 April midnight. Ukrainian forces violated the truce seven times shortly after it came into effect.
