Sberbank is to start servicing clients with passports of DPR and LPR
The Sberbank will begin servicing citizens with passports of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) in all their branches in the coming days, reported the press service of the largest Russian bank.
In mid-February, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree on recognizing in Russia documents issued to citizens of Ukraine and stateless persons living on the territories of certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine, before the political settlement of the situation in these areas.
‘Since the signing of the decree of the Russian Federation on the recognition of the passports of the People’s Republic of Donetsk and the People’s Republic of Lugansk, it has taken Sberbank certain time to organize the reception of new types of passports as an identity document. In the coming days, all processes for adapting the reception of a new type of documents will be completed, after which the Sberbank will be ready to serve individuals who applied for services with the DPR and LPR passports, in all branches of the bank,’ the Sberbank said.
